South Yorkshire: A Wentworth Wander
Explore this historic South Yorkshire estate village with two churches with the same name
Holy Trinity sits at one end of the delightful estate village of Wentworth. Use your imagination to travel back two hundred years in time to see the church as it was then. complete with a nave roof and a tower higher than today.
The church mostly dates from the 17th century but it was old even then. The first mention of a church is from the 13th Century.
This walk takes in the "Old Church", the "New Church", the village and the impressive Palladian mansion at Wentworth Woodhouse.
